We are a 83 bed skilled nursing facility serving those residents who need long-term care and extensive rehabilitation.  Staffed with caring professionals, the Iosco County Medical Care Facility has maintained the highest standards for levels of care and quality of life for over 37 years. Our nursing facility is completely remodeled, and includes a new state-of-the-art 32 bed Alzheimer's Care Facility with special programming for the Alzheimer's residents.  Our facility also offers an alternative living environment called "Small House", this 10-bed home incorporates a philosophy of individualized care and focuses on elders choosing how they want to spend their day.  IMCF offers on site podiatry, dental, chiropractic, and vision services all accepting Medicare and Medicaid payments. The facility provides a full range of senior healthcare services for the Iosco County community. Located on the beautiful "Sunrise Side" in Tawas City, the Iosco County Medical Care Facility is landscaped with extensive outdoor amenities. These include raised flower and gardening beds, picnic areas, fountain, patio, pavilion, handicapped seating and over a half mile of walkways through the park and woodlands setting, all designed specifically for use by our residents and families.
