Alzheimer's Unit
Welcome to the “Woodlands”, our licensed Alzheimer’s/ Dementia unit. Our mission is to be an integral part of our community, viewed by people of all ages as a comfortable, welcoming, and homelike place to live, work and play. To serve as a valuable resource in Iosco County by maintaining a leadership role and providing and facilitating services to our elders through our multi-skilled, caring and compassionate staff. Residents with Alzheimer’s or other dementia often need an environment geared toward allowing them to function at their full potential, a large facility can be overwhelming to this person. For this reason, the “Woodlands” was opened in 2002 with 28 beds available, providing security and continuity to Dementia residents. Here, at the “Woodlands”, the best interest of the resident and the unit is always evaluated carefully.
